This one-movement Sonata for Flute and Guitar, was written for Richard Ingamells and Mark Gaultier. It received its first performance in York (UK) at the Early Music Centre, in November 2000, and its second in January 2001 in Doncaster.

This is a virtuoso piece, which draws its inspiration from nature, as did 'The Cloud-Capped Mountain' which preceded it.

This work is dedicated to Flautist Richard Ingamells.
